Quick Answer

How does an employee commuter shuttle work?

You send your work site, shift times and where employees commute from. We propose routes, pickup points and vehicles, then run the rides on a recurring schedule. For one-off needs like late finishes, staff book individual employee taxi rides through your company account. Programs are quoted individually.

Why employers use it

What a commuter program changes

Shifts start on time

Scheduled pickups remove missed buses and late arrivals from the start of every shift.

Safer late-night trips home

Staff finishing after dark ride door to door or to a safe hub instead of waiting at a stop.

A wider hiring area

Candidates without a car, or far from transit, can take the job.

Less pressure on parking

Fewer cars in the lot during shift changes and busy periods.

Support for commute goals

Shared rides can support your company's commute trip reduction efforts.

Records for every ride

Ride history and receipts in one account for finance and reporting.

How we set it up

From proposal to the first run

Step 1

Share the basics

Work site, shift times, days, headcount and where employees live or connect from.

Step 2

Route proposal

We suggest pickup points, timing and vehicles, with a quote for the program.

Step 3

Start small

Begin with one shift or route, then expand once it runs smoothly.

Step 4

Run and adjust

Routes and vehicle sizes change as your headcount and shifts change.

Ongoing

Employee taxi on demand

Individual rides through the company account fill the gaps between scheduled runs.

What is an employee commuter shuttle?

A transportation program an employer sets up to bring staff to and from work on a schedule. We plan routes, pickup points and vehicles around your shift times, then run the rides on a recurring basis with sedans, mini vans and passenger vans.

What is an employee taxi service?

Individual rides for employees booked through a company account, such as a late finish, overtime, a safe ride home or an urgent trip between sites. Each ride is private, priced before booking and stored in the account with its receipt.

How much does a commuter shuttle program cost?

Programs are quoted individually, based on routes, schedule, number of riders and vehicles. Individual account rides use the standard fares, starting from $75 for an Economy Sedan.

What information do you need for a quote?

Your work site address, shift start and end times, days per week, approximate number of riders, the areas or stations they commute from, and when you want to start.

Can you run rides at night and on weekends?

Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which is why many programs cover early-morning and late-night shifts when public transit is limited.

Can commuter rides be paid with pre-tax commuter benefits?

Federal commuter benefit rules apply only to specific types of transportation, such as qualifying vanpools and transit. Whether a program qualifies depends on how it is set up, so check with your benefits provider or tax advisor. We provide ride records and receipts for every trip.

What happens when schedules or headcount change?

Tell us as early as possible. Changes are planned around vehicle availability, and we adjust routes and vehicle sizes as your program grows or shrinks.

Do you provide buses for large workforces?

No. Our largest vehicle is the Passenger Van, and larger programs use several vans. For routes needing a single vehicle for 40 or more riders, a bus operator is the better fit.
